I met the first time Mr G Rupakanthan and Ponni Arts in 2008 and in the following years I bought many sculptures for me and for some Italian frieds, sometimes leaving to him the shipment of the parcel to Italy. After years of doing business with Ponni Arts I can surely confirm that Mr Rupakanthan and Mr Devaraj are good artists, and reliable people to deal with. Never had any problem.
I started working with Ponni Arts many years ago. The two brothers are honest and reliable and Mr G Rupakanthan is a great artist, is amazing to see him working with his stones! I strongly recommed this shop for the superb quality of the scuptures compared to the affordable price.
A friend introduced me some years ago to the works of these sculptors. I like so much their statues, and what I love most are the animals! Birds, turtles, elephants, fishes and snakes made in black stone are rich of details and expressive, and at the same time modern and stylized. A black giant turtle has a place of honor in my house. Apart from animals, I love the stone boxes made by Ponni Arts. Perfect for keeping small things, rich of images, in good taste and, as I experienced many times, always good for a gift to my friends!
I organized with Rupakanthan a workshop with my students back in 2015. 15 Italian students went to his shop for the workshop and all were very enthusiastic about the experience. Mani skills are really astonishing. He shared with the students his skills in making statues in marble and stones. His work are very beautiful. He is a very professional sculptor indeed
